This week i watched the movie "Role Models." The movie was about two men that work for a energy drink company. Danny (Paul Rudd) has a bad day at work one day and parks in a no parking zone. When Danny sees that his car is being toed, him and his partner Wheeler (Sean William Penn) jump in the car and try to drive off. They do not make it far and they are sentenced to either 30 days in jail or community service with a role model charity group.
There were a few parts that stuck out to me as being sexist. The part that stuck out the most to me was when Danny and Wheeler take their assigned "little's" to a camping trip. Wheeler is a bit of a ladies man and earlier in the movie he had attempted to convince a female role model to have sex with him. The women showed him her wedding ring and declined. On the camping trip though the woman, Connie (Carly Craig), takes Wheeler aside and tells him that she had only agreed to stay loyal to her husband within the state boundaries. Since the camping trip was out of state, she could have sex with Wheeler. This portrays women as horny, cheating tramps. This is unfair to women who stay faithful for their entire marriage and take it seriously. There are a lot of women who do not cheat on their husbands and most would never even think about it. It is sad that directors portray women this way because they think it is funny and will get them more viewers.
Overall this movie was pretty funny and i would recommend it. There are a few sexist parts, but for the most part the movie concentrates on showing Danny and Wheeler struggle through being role models.
